Hello All, I am new to the list and would like to ask some advice. My recently purchased vanagon is in need of a rebuilt motor. Searching the archives lead me to choose Boston Bob as the rebuilder for my 2.1 WBX. I was wondering what the consensus is on using a higher volume oil pump (say a 28mm or 30mm vs the stock 26mm)? I am leaning toward a 28mm to help compensate for the lower oil pressure that is characteristic of a rebuilt motor. Any opinions? Question two: How many miles have people been getting from a rebuilt Boston Bob WBX motor? I realize that there a large number of variables, so I accept any answer as a generalization. I would prefer to hear from Boston Bob customers. Thanks, Roger Wittmann |
