I am helping a friend of mine. He has an ’82 with carburetors and a manual choke on it. Here are the symptoms. It idles fine when the throttles are open even a little the motor sputters and coughs gas out of the throats. If a small amount of choke is given it is better but not perfect. At about 2,000 rpm it smoothes out. Timing is fine, plugs are new. Any ideas? Scot
