Raul; As far as I can see, it should not have any affect. If you look at a water pump, all the working clearance is between the impeller and the body of the pump. Flush the system thoroughly,several times. Do not use JB Weld, it becomes soft when exposed to hot coolant. At least it did when I used it as an emergency repair for a coolant reservoir.
