some sort of CSA (Canadian Standards Assoc. sort of an UL equivalent) rule I think. The Canadian electrical "outlet" came with power line perm attached. Maybe the CSA thought that allowing the owner to connect 2 ends of a power cord was asking way too much! Alistair |
