Howdy all, I am try to change my trany fluid/gear oil is a old and having problems shifting So my question is where do I find the refill hole and how do I get to it. I haven't pulled the drain yet because I have heard so may stories about epic tranny problems with not being able to get the fill open after it had been drained now for the rest of the problems. Well I got the van running again but not as good as before it brokedown. Here are the new problems any advise would be awsome. First when in second or third gear the van seems to mis every now and then. Second enormous amount of rattel at 45 mph. Third really slow out of first gear. I know it is a vw but it should get going a bit quicker. Fourth no extra power going up hills. It acts like a govenor has been placed on the engine. I down shift and no more power I end up going like 25 mph over the hills. Fifth the gas gage won't read properly. I fill it up and gage only reads half or under. Sixth when I turn on the fan for the rear heater under the bench seat the light on the left hand side of my van turn on. Alright, I know that is a long list of a lot of possibly unrelated problems but any help on anything is appricated. Dano Romano 87 syncro P.S. Dan Fleming I still need your address to send you a check. I don't think any of these problems have to do with that Idel Stabelizer Relay unit. Thanks again.
