Hello- I guess even the best can fail. One of my front Biltstein shocks that
I installed last October is leaking.

I had noticed the comfortable ride turned rough the last few weeks  and a
thumping sound occured every time the shock compressed over moderate road
bumps.

I finally got a chance to crawl  under the front today and saw a oil
dripping from the shock, and the shock covered in oil and dirt.

I called the store where I bought them, where I was told that it will be
replaced for free minus $8.00 shipping.

I had to first order the new shock prepaid, and the company will write me a
refund check when they receive the bad shock.

I think that's a pretty good deal- to get replacement shocks for as long as
I own the car- for $8.00 each.

How rare is it for these Bilstein shocks to leak?
