My main problem was loss of oil pressure when the engine got hot.

If you got an air cooled HOT is normal.
Notch the rods, fit the pistons looser, install a windage tray, add an
external oil cooler.
The OEM pumps are very good and you just but stock replacement gear sets
for them.
All list vendors can furnish you with larger pumps but on the Type IV
there are clearance problems so you can't get too big ........... in
addition; Don't be surprised if you get the wrong pump.
OEM for the GE and CV Pump number is 021.115.109A. Be sure the vendor
knows it has four bolts out the back side. Price new is about $280.00 it
is a NLA part. El cheap o is $18.00 and you'll need a cover plate. New
Melling is about $75.00 and you'll need a cover plate.
I don't have the address of the tech bulletin for notching rods and
refitting pistons and eliminating base shims but somebody on the list
will.
Them of course if you got a Wasser Boxer forgetabout this post.
