Check that you are getting power to the coil. You could have a bad switch or the connectors on the fuse box could be burned and corroded. Even though the ignition is not fused, the power goes from the switch, and into and out of the fuse box before going to the back of the van. I've seen these connections fail on a number of Vanagons. They can cause all sorts of intermittent running problems. Run a jumper between the two wires. Dennis
