Anyone know how to take the horn button parts out of an 83 steering wheel? I found directions in the archives for a '91 steering wheel, but it seems to be different than my '83. I've take the wheel off the column and am trying to replace the horn contact ring underneath. I need to get to the connector point inside the wheel to connect the wire on the new horn contact ring. So far I found 2 spring loaded tabs on the top of the horn button. I was able to get needle nose pliers in there and pop them off, but then I'm not sure where to go. I'm worried I'll bend/break something prying it too much more. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Marc |
