Well, my van has finally gone and done it this time. After replacing the brakes, ignition system, afm, massive rewiring, a new rear main seal and tons of other incidental things, the rod connector bearings are gone or going. The engine has been pronounced junk by my mechanic. This is my first car, and they guy I bought it from told me everything was good except for a small oil leak, which seemed to be the case until it started to fall apart. almost at random. I'm about out of money here, and my only hope is to find a cheap, used WBX and swap the engines and hope for the best. I'm in portland, maine, and I'd certainly consider picking up an engine anywhere in the northeast. So if anyone on the list is willing to part with a decent used 1.9 engine (the van is an 85 automatic) for not much money please let me know!!
