Tony,

I am having the same problem. I replaced my switch with a new one from bus depot (approx $35.00) as follows: remove the plastic steering column cover by removing two screws, then snap off the horn button (must pry gently), disconnect horn wires and set horn button aside, remove large steering wheel retaining nut (close to 1" socket needed, I can't remember exactly), remove steering wheel, remove three long screws from metal plate (good opportunity to clean horn contact), remove metal plate, disconnect three wiring harnesses from the underside of light switch and wiper switch (just gently apply downward pressure). Now you can lift the wiper/light switch off of the column. The wiper switch disengages from the light switch by gently turning (kinda like a puzzle). Then drop in the new one and you are golden. Hope this works for you. It didn't cure my wiper problem but I haven't tried a new relay yet (waiting on delivery).

Good luck,

Recently my front windshield wipers stopped parking correctly. All functions work as normal except that wipers will park wherever they happen to be in their cycle when the switch is returned to its off position.

Also my rear wiper stopped working at the same time, washer works, no wiper.

I have swapped in a known good relay with no change in performance.

I have also cleaned the switch contacts as well as possible with the switch in place, a procedure which has worked wonders in the past but not this time.

Any suggestions?

BTW - How is the switch removed from the steering column? Pull the wheel?

Thanks,

Tony
