Subject: TDC Sender Removal
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Hi, I've got the torque converter plate off my engine case and I'm trying to remove the TDC sender. Do I just punch this out with a hammer? My TDC sender has the wire cut from it, so maybe I shouldn't be too concerned about destroying it. Do I need to install it back in or can I leave a hole there? What do I need this for?

BTW, many thanks to all the nice Vanagon people who responded to my query about shipment of an engine from MA to San Francisco. Many people recommended ForwardAir.com I'm not sure if I am going to go for the engine in MA because the guy significantly raised the price over what I expected. Well, I may have to finish the rebuild myself (the one in MA was intended to be a replacement).

Well, off to the piston removal now.

Regards, Craig
