Hi everyone,

If it came through the list server (Gerry), then there was no attachment. The gibberish that did make it through Gerry was from the infected machine trying to force-feed the attachment through by lying to a server about what it was. It's harmless text in it's scrambled-up format.

If it came directly from an infected machine to you (bypassing the list server), then it very well could have a dangerous attachment.

Absoluty ! I have received a few similar messages over the past few days. We had all better be careful. What I don't understand is why these messages with imbedded attachments are being let through to gerry. I thought Tom had the server set to not allow any kind of attachments. Tom, can you comment on this ?

Cheers
