I guess it depends on what you mean by flushing. The "T" on the heater
hose method is fine if all you wish to do is replace the coolant after
diluting the old stuff to the point where it is mostly water. If you
wish to truly flush all the crap out of the radiator and heater core
then the "T" is not a great method IMHO. A forceful flow in the reverse
direction to the normal flow is what I do and with the hoses unhooked to
prevent spreading this crap back throughout the system.
