Market value. If I bought a dollar bill for .50 I would still want a dollar for it. Besides, I need all the money I can get for the Jadgwagen.

Cheers,

Jeff

Jeff,

It sounds like it's in the same condition as when you bought it. Why the $2500 increase in price?

Isn't amazing how quickly things change?

I've found my ultimate Vanagon, an '89 Double Cab Jagdwagen! However, in order to afford it (and justify it to the SO), I'm forced to sell the 1990/91 Westy that I picked up from a neighbor a few months ago.

First the good:

11/90 VW Westfalia 4 speed, with 81,000 original (verifiable) miles. All regular maintenance has been done and she runs and drives beautifully. Interior is very nice, a bit dirty, but I'll take care of that this weekend. Power mirrors, manual windows and door locks. The top is in excellent condition.

Now... the bad:

She needs paint and bodywork. My local bodyshop (not cheap, but very good) quoted me $2,000 - $3,000 for all paint and bodywork.

I just smogged and registered the van last month and it's good till December.

Anyways, $7,500 is the asking price and I might even be amicable to throwing in a set of alloys.

Cheers,

Jeff

BTW: If anyone is looking for a really clean '88 Wolfsburg with freshly rebuilt engine, I'm selling that too. $3,500 Firm.
