Well, it's been a week today since I drove home in my 1984 Vanagon Westy I bought on eBay. It had a few surprises the seller forgot to mention: missing passenger side mirror, missing sliding door handle(outside), left front turn signal inop, no dash lights, window cranks broken, 3 holes in the muffler, and no radio (I never asked if it had a radio, my fault). As of today, everything has been fixed/replaced except the muffler which I have on order from Bus Depot. Oh, yeah, the cracked front windshield-I have a new windshield as well. I even have the rubber impact strips for the front/rear bumpers, just need the clips to reattach them. That's a lot for one week, especially since I was in Chicago on business for 3 days. This is still a drop in the bucket compared to what I had to do to the last two Bay Westy's I've owned. Both the Bays rewarded me with many trouble free miles for all my effort, I hope my Vanagon does the same! Jeff
