Do you have an ohm meter to check continuity? There still might be a hairline break somewhere on the board.

Well tack soldered some jumper wire over the break. My brother recommended using phone wire and it seems to work OK.

So after 4 hours work I'm back with a working dash board and no high beam indicator light. Back to even in other words.
