All this talk gives me hope of many years to come of happy motoring. I have an '86 GL with 70k. She has new belts, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, coolant, thermostat, Conti rubber, brake fluid flush, front pads/rotors and all life blood recently changed. I'm sure I've forgotten some things, but I'm on my fifth Labatt. Next up fuel lines and all those sensors.

Peace.............andrew NW OH

On February 23, the FUN BUS turned 200,000 miles traveling home to NY from Florida with the original head gaskets. Uses ~1 quart of Mobil 1 15w-50 oil every 1200 miles.

That might be me. 230k miles on the original motor. Still uses *no* oil between changes and even though it needs a reseal, it's stone reliable. I'll redo the heads in the next couple weeks and i have no doubt that it'll be good for another 100k.
