Let's hope I didn't ruin anything... Tranny's on the ground and I'm currently working up the motivation to go out in the rain to pull the clutch/flywheel/pilot bearing. We had a cold front move overnight.

I do have a question: the tip of the input shaft is a metallic brown - I assume from the pilot bearing. I've got a new bearing to go in (actually, two if anyone needs one). I'll be needing a new set of shims and a dial guage to get things back together again correctly, right?

BTW, I was SO expecting the main seal to be leaking since there was clutch judder between 1st & 3rd (no 2nd anymore) but the bellhousing is clean. The one thing that IS strange is the inside of the bellhousing almost appeared to have a little dusty red color to it. I'm more used to them being normal metallic or oily black. Does this mean anything?
