Adam,

You may have already tried these. But, I'll toss 'em out anyway... I've had this happen a couple of times, and it's very frustrating because nothing was touched other than engine swap. 1. Plug contacts (female pins) on AFM plug may be pushed into plug. 2. Loose contact at hot side of coil will do it... sometimes just wiggling the black lead will get the noid light to fire... pointing towards corrosion in the connector.3. Terminal 88y is most common at double relay plug ...pulling out of white connector going into double relay,or backed out a little. 4. Corroded wire in power supply box (left rear of engine compt) is rare but has happened 5. Depending on model you have, you may have a bad electronic ignition control unit if you're model is equipped with one. You didn't mention if fuel pump was firing so I assume it was... so that pretty much leaves out solenoid wires being swapped... on some after market starters that would make a difference---Goodluck please let me know what you find---Jon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vanagon man" <vgonman@MSN.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Sunday, March 30, 2003 7:43 PM Subject: No injector pulse 81 AFC vanagon
