              Looking for some trip talk on the list

Hi all,

My wife Debbie + I and our  02 EVC  ( need a catchy name like a lot of you
have )   and our 01 Aprilia Futura Sport touring Motorcycle on a  ( very
light  aluminum 230# ) trailer behind us are planning the big trip across
the country starting   --   Sept.19.  -  Oct 7.  2003  ( 17 days )  ...

We live in central Conn and will take 84W to Scranton PA., 81S to
Wilkes-Barre PA., 80W to Youngtown OH., 76W past Akron OH. to 71 SW, 71 SW
to Columbus OH., 70W to Indianapolis IN.,  Then Saint Louis MO., 44SW to
Springfield MO.,  Joplin MO., Tulsa OK., + Oklahoma City OK., Then 40W thru
northern Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona to Flagstaff..  Should get to this
point Sunday 9/21 or 9/22  Monday ....

Next  Detour north to The Grand Canyon.  ---  need to do more planning at
this point  ( 12 days to go where  --   Utah , Colorado + ???    ) ......

Return trip will start from Denver CO. area  Sunday am Oct 4..  Not sure if
we should go route 70W or route 80W back east ..

We will be doing a lot of touristy sight seeing things from the EVC.. We
will also do a few days in the mountains touring on the motorcycle, I hope
to do a few road side rock climbs if my wife will be willing to belay me,
but that will only be a few hours not the focus of the trip..  I'm thinking
of bringing the mountain bikes for a day or two @ Moab , but will be worried
about them getting ripped off for 17 days I think..   That's it for now.....

More to follow as plans come together.........

I will take any comments, tips, suggestions on special places ......... I /
we have never been out west before ( except Vegas )  ..  We have both flown
to CA. for business / pleasure but nothing in between..
