I have to add that even at 5 - 6K, finding a good van isn't necessarily
easy. That's the price range in which I've been looking, for four or five
months now, for an 86 or later (for a stronger engine) Westy that seems
mechanically sound and that I won't have to put a lot of money into (not a
lot of miles on a rebuilt engine, head gaskets attended to, hopefully even
cooling system attended to) and I haven't found one yet. Might be because
I'm in the Bay Area where good vans are pretty sought after, but so far
nothing.
