Very first thing to check -- the coolant level. ou can see that through the plastic of the tank. If that is OK. ccheck the connection of the wire tot he coolant sensor. If that is secure, be sure the engine is cold, then remove the coolant sensor and inspect it carefully. A lot of times you will find a cracked place wbtwen the terminals or up on to where the connector goes. If that looks OK. Check for loose connections of the wiring, and up at the dash - instrument pod. If all is well, replace the collant level sensor. They are not very expensive as compared to some other parts.
