Excuse me ............. I would assume that you are going to buy a used
catalytic converter instead of a new one.
I have always found the Vendors parts pages the faster route to getting
the part number, the price and see if the part fits a range of vehicles.
I just see you taking the long route to a short answer ........... I'll
be watching the list to see if anyone can reply to your inquiry faster
than the one minute that would be required to check a vendors site.
Since I'm an Air Cooled guy I seldom reply to Wasser Boxer postings. I
have deleted 84 so far this day.
I sure hope you aren't this testy when someone directs you to go search
the archives.
I don't know anybody that can navigate that archive of hell and survive
for more than five minutes.
So at this time I'll put a block on your Jeff Lincoln E mail address and
you won't have replies from me in the future.
Stan Wilder
(If you don't spend your purchase price again within a year for parts and
labor on that Vanagon, we'll all be surprised.)
