First I want to say that it wasn't my intention to start any kind of issue on the list. I took offense and maybe a little hastily. For that I apologize. Stan I don't think it is necessary for you to block me - but do what you must. To all of you that sent me a response to my question - either on list or p-mail. Thank you I appreciate it. I also appreciate that most of you were willing to not only answer yes or no but to explain why not - and some of you even listed the part numbers. Thank you. I would also like to thank those of you who are Vets of the list for explaining things a little more from your angle. I understand a little better and respect your view completely. I also respect the fact that you understood where I was coming from. Just to make things clear I have checked most of the vendor sights - and have done a lot of price comparing. I know the parts I need and what they cost. While there are some very fair prices out there I just don't have the money to purchase new at this point. I had a chance to get a fairly new set of pipes from a wrecked 86' Vanagon - that is why I asked the question in the first place. While I would rather purchase new - well some things just take priority. Now I will consider this topic closed. Thanks again to everyone. Stan if you must stay mad go right ahead. I wont hold it against you - but for the record I am over it. And the moral of the story is: Newbies: try yourself first and Veterans: Have a little patience. Thanks, Jeff |
