A boost gauge for the turbo I also wish I had? ;)

Seriously, for engine monitoring I'd go with the gauges I already have in my current van: - Voltage - Oil pressure - Water temperature - LED indicators for the radiator fan and glow plugs (if applicable)

If you want to go for overkill, you could add: - Manifold vaccuum - Oil temp - Transmission oil temp (if it's an automatic) - Ammeter

And of course there's the fun stuff you could add, if you really want to go all-out: - Compass - Altimeter (or replace this and the above with an in-dash GPS!) - Outside temperature - Fridge temperature (if it's a Westy) - Inclinometer (for the syncro folks, especially)
