85 and 86 are major change years. Out with the 1.9 and in with the 2.1. The exhaust is different. The later exhaust can be fitted to the earlier engine if you change both engine pipes, add the cast exhaust collector and the pipe going into the cat. The later muffler and tail pipe can also be used if you change the rear motor mount casting to use the later muffler brackets. You will also need a cat with provision for the O2 sensor.
