Clutch chatter can happen for a variety of reasons: 1) Pilot bearing worn out. 2) Clutch disk burnt 3) Clutch disk into the rivets 4) Burnt face on either the flywheel or pressure plate 5) Broken or weak spring in pressure plate / warped on install 6) Throw out bearing locking and skipping 7) Bent throw out actuator arm holding the throw out bearing. 8) Engine to tranny bolts loose That is all I could think of in 20 seconds. How Serious? ................. sound like it is going out. Plan on replacing it soon but it might run 20K more.
