For everyone who's helped me through my first Vanagon clutch/tranny change - THANK YOU. It was a little more than I expected. BUT I now have 4 forward gears - which I've never really had - and I can hold a conversation while driving. All new to me.

As far as the noise I heard last night, my best guess is everything seating since no noise today and she drives GREAT. The most amazing thing to me is how little clutch preasure there is. The old one (w/ broken spring I later found out) was quite stiff.

john (who might just get a bus to Everybus afterall)
