Doug,

First off .... If you didn't see the eWesty set up Mark Belanger just previewed ...

Check it out:

http://evilbill.fluid.com/vanagon/ewesty/

As for me:

The Roadhaus GPS System

IBM ThinkPad 600e Laptop Delorme Earthmate GPS Receiver (w/serial to USB connector) Delorme Street Atlas USA 2003 Mapping Software

Product Review

Hardware:

ThinkPad 9/10 rating ... No problems ...

Earthmate GPS Receiver 7/10 rating ... Software locks up 10% of the time and the USB connection occasionally vibrates loose.

Software:

Street Atlas USA 2003 9/10 rating ..... Has the detail for both off road and highway that I want. Voice capabilities is interesting and I have had fun playing with it .... But for my use, not that practical.

On the Road,
