Subject: Re: Rear ladder

I must ask, why do you need a ladder on the back of a Vanagon?

I'm building a bumper/rack thingy myself. What Gary makes doesn't quite fit with what I'm looking for, otherwise I'd be buying his stuff for sure. Everyone seems to love his work.

I'm at a loss though for what on earth one would need to climb up the back of Vanagon for? being that westy's have a lugage tray up front?

Do you have an expedition rack up there on the roof or something? Wouldn't it be easier to go up a side ladder? or just step up on the rear bumper?

This isn't meant to be rhetorical, I'm _honestly_ wondering since I'm making a rear rack and if there is some wonderful use for the rear ladder that I'm missing?

Thanks, Jon
