Subject: transmission rebuilding..how hard

There are a few special tools needed, not to mention the sneaky little things that make the difference between one that lasts and one that might not. Yours has the typical 3/4 slider problem and will break suddenly with no notice if you keep trying to get it out of 4th. If you are very mechanically inclined and take the chance of having to do it again if you screw up...go for it by all means. It will take a press, the pinion nut tools (2) and the final drive cap tool for starters although some have used there own homemade stuff for the job. The good news is that if you start the job and can't finish, I can bail you out of trouble easily. $995 exchange is what the rebuilds cost from me with a 3 yr warranty. Good Luck & call if you need to.. Daryl of AA Transaxle Duvall, WA. (Seattle area) (425) 788-4070 1-877-377-0773 (toll free) aatransaxle.com (web site)
