Sounds like it was rubbing the sheet metal going through the firewall.
If this is the case just push a piece of fuel line all the way down the
line until it hits the FI T connection, put a clamp right past the leak
on both sides.
Leaking elsewhere send me $10.00 and I'll send you a good used one.
