Hi Everyone, I got my 81 vanagon on the road yesterday after replacing all the fuel lines, injector seals and oil change. It's in the shop today to get the tranny swapped out with a good one. Now my question is it seems to idle very high when I push in the clutch when shifting gears. When I warm it up it idles a little high then drops down like it should but when I shift it takes about 15 seconds to drop down after it goes up when I push in the clutch. It does have a mechanical advance distributors not the correct vacuum advance is this just how these mechanical advance ones work? Or am I looking in the wrong directions. TIA Kevin 81 Vanagon |
