Hi list, I have the software configured to do all that it can regarding viri - no attachments are allowed. The gibberish attachments that do come through are annoying, but not harmful. In regards to "harvesting", I am doing what I can - every person who joins the list is *manually* added by me. I check each subscription request against a list of know spammers. If the the address looks suspicious, I send a message to the potential subscriber asking a few Vanagon-related questions, figuring that SPAM bots and harvesters wn't take the time to reply. Thanks from your Vanagon list admin, TomC -----Original Message----- From: Hieu Q [mailto:ibq152@YAHOO.COM] Sent: Wednesday, April 09, 2003 1:17 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: virus filtering?? Hey all, Just wondering if anything could be done about the recent harvesting of addresses as I have been getting loaded full of suspicious mail. Maybe we could ferret out the source and block them, as someone had suggested??? ....off to disinfect, *again*.....
