Shawn,
Not sure if your van has the same setup in that the coolant level sensor
is on tope of the coolant bottle. What I did is to purchase two hose
clamp pliers to shut off the two hoses attached to the tank. With the
hose clamp pliers on the hoses I siphon off coolant into a clean bucket.
It's easy to change the sensor at that point, then replace the coolant
before releasing the hose clamp pliers.

At least 12 months is better than 12 hours!
Did you pick up a Bentley Book by any chance? At least then you can set
out on the
road, knowing that if anything goes you've got proper documentation to
fix it.
