Nearly half of the last digest was about scams and virus, nonvanagon stuff enough to blow a gasket. Speaking of gaskets I have a question about the failure and symptoms of the green gasket that goes around the cylinder. It is clear that the beefy black gaskets keep the coolant in the engine and the metal rings keep the compression in chamber but what about the punny little green job and the blue? one that goes around the cylinder. There must be a lot of left over lower rubber rings as nobody can use those unless you pull the engine. What are the early symptoms when those rubber rings fail? Would the lower one cause coolant in the oil? and the upper one cause overheating of the coolant?
