Be careful how hard you beat on the end of the crosshaft. It is very easy
to mushroom the end so the arm won't ever come off. I take a hammer & big
chisel and smack it off (the arm)after soaking it with penetrant. If you
pull/beat/hammer too hard, the circlip on the inside will come loose.
Then you have to get a little puller to get it off. A cheap one will
usually work. (In reality I have an air chisel that works great)
I have seen a few that were rusted so bad I had to cut them off and a few
more that had been beat on so bad they had to be cut off. Goood Luck
