During the last year I've made 6 round trips, in my '85 Westy, from
northern Maine to southwestern Virginia (1300 miles one way).  On 3 of
those trips, the only stops were for gas and walks for my 100 lb Boxer.
I usually run 65 to 75 mph ... depending on roads and local speed limits
(West Virginia allows 70).  The best time we made on one trip back
(remember I had to stop to walk the dog, take cat naps, etc.) was 26
hours.  That's averaging 50 mph over the entire distance.

Anyway, all the trips have been without incident and I wouldn't hesitate
to "Fill 'er up" and hit it again.
