I'm certainly going - have gone for the past 6 years. I actually really hate the whole thing about BM "not being a family event, if you know what I mean." My twin boys who are 7 will be attending for their sixth year this year, my three year old daughter will be attending for second year this year. To top it off we camp in KidsVille, with roughly 20 - 30 other families. Anyway, I'll get off of that high horse for now :-)

I like the idea of your camp, would love to come by and check it out. I would suggest you look for the VW bus camp. They have been established for quite a few years now and Vanagons have always been more than welcome there. You could easily get the kind of participation you are looking for there. Be sure and look us up, KidsVille has always been within a block or two of CenterCamp. I've got a gold Syncro with a large awning coming off the passengers side. We are planning a kids poi/staff theme camp. Look forward to seeing you there!

Anybody on the list planning on attending Burning Man?

My current group is up to 4 Vanagons and I'm looking for more. Trying to setup a Vanagon wagon train to the desert that can be then be circled to keep the natives out (actually, I'm more concerned about the sun & wind).

Ideally, we'll get at least 7 vans. That way we can create an octagon with one side missing. A few large tarps (with support poles) across the center and, viola, Vanagonland has been created.

Let me know if you're interested.

BTW: Burning Man is not really a family event, if you know what I mean.

Cheers,

Jeff
