Frank, That piece is not a bushing and it does not support the mains haft in any way. However it should be a tight fit in the clutch housing. Heat or impact some how knocked it loose and the housing is now worn. Its function is to keep the gear oil from pooling in front of the seal. Sort of like a slinger. Use some epoxy to hold it in the case and all will be fine. This is not a wear item and it is not available as a separate part.

Any of you know what's up with the bushing for the rear main shaft in the clutch housing ? That's the bushing right behind the rear main shaft oil seal behind the throw out bearing. I have looked and looked in Bentley and they do not talk about this bushing and how to determine if it is good or bad. I have searched ETKA page by page and this bushing is not there. The bushing does come out as I have it here in my hand. It comes out after the oil seal is removed. It certainly looks worn and the shaft is not fitting very well so seems to me it should be replaced. So where's the info on this bushing hiding ? Does one need to replace the clutch housing to get this bushing ? HELP !

Cheers
