Subject: 81 On the Road and speedo?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi Everyone, Well my 81 is one the road with 4 forward gears and one reverse. Of course after having the tranny swaped me doing the fuel lines tune up replacing a couple brake lines pads and a vaccum leak I find that my speedo or odmeter don't work. Where do I start looking? Should the odmeter work if the cable is broke? Is there a way to adjust the cable or any thing? Other then this problem and the lack of gages this bus is great soo much lighter then a westy and feels like it corners on rails :) Can't wait for a road trip. TIA Kevin 81 vanagon Aircooled
