Why do you think you need a high volume oil pump?

The stock volume pumps were engineered for the oil system to provide adequate volume of oil for lubrication and cooling. It the pump is not doing the job, you have a wear problem inside the pump or downstream from the pump. If the problem is internal wear on the pump, simple pump replacement will satisfy the need. If its a wear problem downstream of the pump, ie, any point in the system where close tolerances are required - like main journal bearings - then you need an overhaul, not a high volume pump. If the engine is rebuilt for a higher level of performance, then a higher volume pump may well be required to deliver sufficient oil for the changed clearance specifications.
