>I'm afraid I'm at the end of my rope....I've been changing my header >pipes and mufflers on my two vanagons for 10 years now and I'm finally >defeated by flange nuts anf bolts that are so rounded and frozen that >I am unable to extract them. Any tools that you have used that work >well.... Has anyone ever tried MIDAS or MIENEKE to have exhaust work >done. Thanks They will rip you off and screw up your vanagon. Do not let them touch it. Don't even let them put it up on a lift or they will shove it through the ceiling, or they will shove the lift right through your gas tank. There ought to be a muffler shop around you somewhere that is more personalized, more interested in your van and your needs. The M and M guys are the WalMart of mufflers and are ignorant of anything that doesn't fit into their "cookie cutter" world of exhaust systems. Your mileage may vary, but from here, they are a horrible, horrible place to expect any quality, consideration, or concern. Consider giving your money to a 'little guy" who thinks and works the way that most of us here do. John |
