Best of all is that often those little makeup bags are "free" with purchase of something or other; I've also received several sizes as gifts. I also use mine for my spare sunglasses which I store in our motorcycle; there's a multitude of uses for them. -----Original Message----- From: Stan Wilder [mailto:wilden1@JUNO.COM] Sent: Tuesday, April 15, 2003 2:51 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Essential Tools
For the Ladies that read the list this is going to make good sense. The rest of you will just have to have a woman explain it to you. Many times when women purchase cosmetics the store gives them a small clutch about six inches long, about the size of a small shaving kit used by the hubby. I can get a full set of 7mm - 18mm combination wrenches, a full set of 3/8" drive sockets 10mm - 18mm, a rachet handle and two six inch extensions, a small pair of needle nose and wire cutters, three screwdrivers all in that little bitty bag. That is about what I carry for tools. Since I'm air cooled I carry an extra injector, a fuel pump and filter, a double relay, a set of points, rotor and cap as spare parts. That requires a cigar box but all tools and spares will fit the battery box (Excuse me, Secret hiding space) under the drives seat.
