I had it dealer serviced two weeks ago at 30,000(!!!) mi. Had Les Schwab align it Monday.
Hmmmm, let's see, 30K in 10 years, so not driven very much, and probably for short trips at that. If your in-laws are like my in-laws, that means they probably get the oil changed every 2 years, if that. My father in law insists on following the maintenance schedule with his Ford Crown Vic, which says oil change every 7,500 miles. He obviously ignores the section on severe use. Now, it will take him about 2-3 years to go 7,500 miles. And most trips are to town and back, about 8 miles each way. His last Crown Vic died due to sludge in the engine-his 2000 model is sure to suffer the same fate. Hey, that's right his Crown Vic is now 3 years old-I better call him and remind him it's time to go to Jiffy Lube! Jeff |
