Ben, I screwed around with my odometer for quite a while trying to get a
fix. Never was happy with it. Also tryied the used speedo bit. That also
was a pee-poor solution. Who knows how it had been abused. Finally I
took a Sacred Oath..... "I will  never again punch my odometer button
again while the van is moving!!!!"......and I bought a brand new one!! I
have been happy ever since. It's the way to go.

As for the plastic that keeps breaking......I had lots of problems with
that. My solution was to buy some plumbers epoxy and build up the places
where the breakage had occured, then took a rasp and file, and cut it
back to some sembalance ot the original and then drilled what holes I
needed to. Worked, and beat the price of buying new.
