Hey guys and gals I know this question doesn't pertain to our beloved vanagons, but since it's in the VW family I thought you might be able to help. Recently my wife was out driving her '78 Super Beetle Conv. when all of a sudden it just died. It turns over and there is a definite smell of gasoline coming from the engine area, but it just won't fire. We towed it back to the house and let it sit for a day and then tried to start it up again. It started right up no problem, but died within a few seconds and then wouldn't start again after that. Any thoughts? My wife is starting to get antsy ;)

Ryan
