According to TireRack.com, the MXV-4's have a max pressure of 44 psi. If they had a 6-ply rated sidewall, they would work fine on a Vanagon, but wouldn't provide the 10% safety margin recommended by the P-Metric rules since they are a passenger car tire.

Tires are usually load rated at the maximum inflation pressure. The air pressure is adjusted to match the maximum load at each wheel position. The tire manufacturer should be able to provide a load/pressure chart for your particular tire. Since Vanagons allow less GWVR on the front axle than on the rear, tire pressures are lower in the front tires than on the rears.
