Subject: coil test
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

I suspect my coil has failed as the reason my 1987 2.1L westy has no spark- after reading the archives because I noticed some black oil near the coil on some wires and a connector against the drivers side engine compartment. Can someone outline how to check coil, the bently is not clear. Thought I could check across terminals for resistance and from one terminal to center of coil. Please help as I am "dead in the water."
